Ayase Haruka‘s new movie “Hotaru no Hikari( Glimmer of a Firefly)” will release on 9th June. This is a film version of the drama “Hotaru no Hokari” based on the hit comic of the same title, broadcast by NTV in 2007 and 2010. It is a love comedy and became very popular especially among Japanese young women. In the drama Ayase plays a roll of a 20’s woman Amemiya Hotaru who is efficient at her work but not much interested in love, rather likes to be lazy and relax  inside her own house. So she was called “Himono Onna”  It  means “a woman like a dried fish” in English.

The story begins with a happening that by mistake Hotaru is going to have to live under one roof with Takano Susumu who is a manager of the company ( “Bucho” in Japanese, Hotaru always called him Bucho in the drama) where she is working. The “Bucho” is very scrupulous and likes to keep things neat in contrast with Hotaru. What’s interesting about the drama is that there are a lot of funny misunderstandings and fights due to the differences between their lifestyles and yet the two people gradually become drawn to each other, at last they become get together. Fujiki Naoto plays as Bucho. He is a Japanese handsome actor with 178cm tall.

Hotaru and Bucho take a honeymoon trip to Italy in the movie to come.  They meet another “Himono onna” played by Matsuyuki Yasuko there. She tells a lie on a whim, says “Bucho is my fiance.”  It causes a slapstick comedy as usual, like , Bucho is kidnapped by someone..

Since the drama “JIN“, we haven’t really seen Ayase Haruka much on TV lately. It makes me feel a little bit sad. She did good job in JIN, especially in the first part of it.
“Jin” is a fantasy drama broadcast in 2010 and 2011 by TBS TV of Japan. The main character Minakata Jin, a doctor of the university hospital, timeslipped into the past “Edo period“,the time of the Samurai warriors. Ayase played a role of a samurai family’s daughter Saki and supports Jin‘s medical work with enthusiasm, They save the people who get infected with cholera or work hard to help a syphilitic oiran (a kind of a hetaera at that time) by producing penicillin by themselves. Saki is falling in love with Jin gradually, but they keep passing each other for some reason… In the end Jin suddenly returns to the present time and they don’t end up getting together. He spends days suffering from grief. One day he happens to meet Saki’s granddaughter and receives a letter which is from Saki in the past to Jin of the current day…I could not see it without tears.

Although people don’t watch  TV dramas very much recently in Japan, the drama became a big hit in years. Ayase Haruka looked very good in samurai-age figures, and was  able to make the role pure and attractive.

As I’v got a digital single-lens reflex camera, I’m taking pictures of anything at random. The model is Pnasonic LUMIX DMC-GF1. This is succeeded by GF2 which Ayase Haruka (Japanese actress) and Sato Takeru (Japanese actor) promote on TV.  The camera is small for a SLRI, easy-to-use. Now it’s still too cold to go away for taking picutres , so only in my own back yard.

I was surprised that the trees  were so hard like concrete when I touched them. In the time of Samurai,  Hikyaku(express messenger at that time)or Kago (a palanquin) must have come and went here.
