As I’v got a digital single-lens reflex camera, I’m taking pictures of anything at random. The model is Pnasonic LUMIX DMC-GF1. This is succeeded by GF2 which Ayase Haruka (Japanese actress) and Sato Takeru (Japanese actor) promote on TV.  The camera is small for a SLRI, easy-to-use. Now it’s still too cold to go away for taking picutres , so only in my own back yard.

.The Hitomi Kaido Street which runs from Suginami Ward to Fuchu city, lined with thick keyaki trees which seem to be handreds of years old. I was surprised that the trees  were so hard like concrete when I touched them. In the time of Samurai,  Hikyaku(express messenger at that time)or Kago (a palanquin) must have come and went here.

from the sport paper above

”Ashita no Joe”
It’s original writer is Kajiwara Ikki, the picture painter is ChibaTetsuya.
This manga was serialized in ”Shonen Magazine” from 1967.12 to 1973.5,
and made into an anime in 1970 and 1980, into a movie in 1980 and 1981.
It is a success story describing a young future boxer Yabuki Joe who is getting to become a worldwide boxer through many battles against such strong rival as Rikiishi Toru. Even now, the tale is very popular among Japanese.

. .Yamapi looks a lot like Joe.

Shiraki Yoko is a daughter of a wealthy family Shiraki Zaibatsu, and philanthropist. Her father is the owner of boxing gym which Rikiishi Toru belongs to. She takes over her father’s work later on. The role is played by Karina, a Japanese popular actress.

Rikiishi Toru is Yabuki Joe‘s biggest rival. He and Joe meet in a reform school. Iseya Yusuke plays the role, he is a model-turned actor.

Tange Danpei is the owner of Tange boxing gym, with atypical appearance. He recognises Joe‘s outstanding talent for boxing and trains him. Kagawa Teruyuki plays the part. He was born of a famous actress and a Kabuki actor parents. He is so smart that he gradated the Univercity of Tokyo.

from “Byakko-tai” , a TV drama of historical tragedy, broadcasted in 2007. Byakko-tai is a tloop consisting of young men of 16 or 17 years old , belong
to the Aizu domain in the Tohoku region.
They fought a brave battle against the new Meiji government for their domein’s surviving .But they could not stop the tide and defeated.
They did seppuku at the end of the story. Yamapi played a role of Sakai Mineji who happened to survive because he was separated from his group in the middle of the battle. Though he was not so good at acting ,the dorama is full of his charm, I think.

from the dorama “Nobuta wo produce” in 2005.
when I think back, the dorama triggered Yamapi‘s high popularity.
It seemed that Kamenashi Kzuya, a member of Katt-un, and Yamapi made a perfect combination in it.
Kamenashi acted as a high school student who had leadership but
a kind of ego-driven person. Yamapi was his intimate friend who is something weird but funny and charming. I personally like this role best in all his dorama characters.
Kamenashi & Yamapi sang it’s tama song, too and it is became a huge
hit, sold 1.6 million copies in total.

these pictures are from a quick preview of “Ashita no Joe
this is Yamapi’s film to be released next spring, a live-action version of popular
manga featured from the 1970s.
The manga is so loved that the fans held a real funeral with grief when one of
charactors in it died in the story

My Pets’ photos of Memories

.
.
Long ago my cat Mie gave birth to 5 kittens. 2 white and 3 black & white.
Mie seemed to be really happy when she brought up her babies, breast-fed,
lapped up kittens’ butt holes for cleaning shit and pee with gusto and vivacity.
A great mother instinct!
By the way, I think cats are genius actors in expressing comfortable feelings.
So just looking at them makes me happy and relaxed at any time.

From the late July to September the summer festival is held all around Japan.
Each shrine has its own festival once a year, attended by the people in the area and served by numerous stalls selling a variety of things.
People also enjoy Obon dancing, or Bon odori there.

Thus the people have a deep relationship with shrines, but the majority of Japanese have no interest in the tenets of Shinto, and the influence of the religion on the thought of the Japanese of today is small

I live in a town of the suburbs of Tokyo.
There are Inokashira Park and the Studio Ghibli’s museum near my house.
to the west side of the town, International Christian University(ICU)and Nogawa Park are there.
more nature still remains around here than in the center of tokyo

I heard that before World War II,there are many wooden buildings with a flavor of Japanese own style everywhere in Japan.
But they had disappeared almost completely by fire during the war, and now the towns are full of boring , ticky-tacky houses . I’m a little sorry about it.
I just wanted to see what they would be like…
